The 3D Digital Artist education is a high-quality private education. As a student you will be taught by industry proven instructors, you get to attend classes with international guest speakers, and you will be taught industry standard software, methods, and workflow.

If you would like to apply, you will find information about the application process and the requirements below. The education costs a monthly fee of 8.750 DKK which most of our students cover partly with the SU and the SU-supplement that is available for our students.

You are welcome to book a non-committal meeting if you have questions about the education, about admission process and required qualifications, or simply would like to have your portfolio assessed prior to submitting the application.


In order to apply for the education program, the applicants are requested to submit the application form via this link. The applicant must attach a motivational letter, and possibly a link to an online portfolio. If the application is accepted, the applicant will be invited to a personal meeting with the teachers, where it will also be possible to get a tour of the school and ask questions.

We currently welcome applications for start in August 2023, it is possible to book an admission meeting, if you would like to have one.


Admission to the 3D Digital Artist education requires that the applicant has completed upper secondary school, STX, HTX, HHX, HF, IB or the equivalent. ‘The students are also required to possess a basic knowledge of either 3D/ CGI/ Animation/ Computer games/ Digital image processing techniques/ Programming. Applicants are also recommended to have good collaborative skills, experience with group-work as well as understand and speak English (High School: B-level). Applicants also need to write a motivated application.

Applicants must submit an online portfolio – e.g. own homepage, Artstation, Vimeo or YouTube – along with their motivated application. The portfolio should show the applicant’s artistic / creative and / or technical skills and include his / her best and most representative work. A video portfolio / showreel should be no longer than five minutes long

The submitted material will be evaluated according to the style, humor and technical skills shown in the material. The motivational letter must focus on dedication, determination and themes of interest.


In special cases, dispensation can be granted for the requirement of youth education. Dispensation can be granted in case the applicant possesses a particularly high artistic talent as well as exhibits a high degree of study aptitude. This is assessed by an admissions committee, consisting of the principal or head of education and at least one of the permanent teachers.


If you need to improve or learn 3D skills, you can enroll on the 3D Essentials Online Course where you will be introduced to basic 3D computer graphics.


The Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science has approved our 3½ year 3D Digital Artist education, which means that the students can apply for SU (state funded student grant).

SU Income rates

Our students typically pay the majority of the tuition fee with SU and the SU-supplement which is available to our students as we are a private education. Read more about the SU-supplement here.

Besides SU and SU-supplement, the students can apply for a SU-loan of 3.371 DKK per month.

  • SU rate for students not living with their parents: 6.589 DKK per month
  • SU rate for students living with their parents: 1.024 – 2.841 DKK per month (depending on family income)
  • SU-supplement of up to: 2.572 DKK per month (as CADA Trumax is a private education)
  • SU-loan: 3.371 DKK per month.
  • Max allowed income per month, on top of SU: 18.412 DKK for students not living with their parents

SU rates presented are from 2023.


The tuition fee is 8.750 DKK per month for a total of 41 months.

The students are required to pay a registration fee of 5.000 DKK prior to the first term.

Do you wish to discuss the possibility of becoming a 3D Digital Artist at CADA Truemax, or simply to have your portfolio judged prior to submitting the application?

We offer all interested and potential students a free and noncommittal meeting with an advisor at CADA Truemax. At the meeting, you can present yourself, your skills and your desires, and you will have the possibility of discussing your portfolio. Along with the instructors, we will find out whether or not you are ready to apply – or if there are other possibilities for you to enhance your skills within our field. The meeting is also an opportunity for you to see our school and sense the atmosphere.

We have meetings on a regular basis, so we can surely find a suitable time for you as well. The meeting has a duration of approximately 30 minutes. If you are not able to travel to Copenhagen, we can also have the meeting on Skype.
